Power Point Church: Facility Usage Policy
Purpose:
This policy outlines the guidelines for the use of PowerPoint Church facilities to ensure they are used in a manner consistent with the church's mission, values, and priorities.
General Restrictions:
The facility is not to be used for small events such as:
Small birthday parties
Private gatherings
Other informal, non-church-related functions
Permitted Events (By Approval Only):
With the approval of the Advisory Team and the Pastoral Team, the facility may be used for:
Church-sanctioned events- Governed by the Pastoral Team
Special events such as weddings, anniversary celebrations, and major milestone birthday parties. Governed by the Advisory Team
Milestone birthday parties are: 1year, 16 yrs, 21 yrs, 40 yrs, 65 yrs, 75yrs and older as approved.
Other significant occasions that align with the mission and values of PowerPoint Church. - Governed Jointly by the Pastoral Team and Advisory Team
Advance Notice Requirement:
A minimum of 60 days' online request must be provided prior to the requested event date. All request forms submitted shall be reviewed promptly and responded to accordingly.
Cost:
The cost for using the facility for approved events is $1,200.00 for anniversary celebrations and milestone birthday parties and shall consist of one 8hr day to include set up and decorations, the same day, the morning of the event. The price for formal weddings is $1,500.00, and an additional $1,000.00 for the reception. All fees must be paid in full prior to the event date. Events are restricted to regular attendees who are noticeably a part of the regular constituency of PPC. Non-attendee usage is not permitted at this time. PPC partners with a history of faithfully supporting the church in attendance and tithing will receive a 50% deduction of the above-stated fees, subject to review and approval.
Approval Process:
All requests for facility usage must be submitted online and through the church website (see link). All responses shall be via email response/reply and acknowledgements.
Restrictions:
All event holders (except church sanctioned ones) shall provide all the necessary supplies, props, food, beverages, condiments, and the like required for the respective event. Hosts are required to do general clean up to include the removal of trash to on-site dumpsters. PPC will provide custodial care during the event(s) and detailed cleaning after each event.
Acknowledgement:
By requesting and/or using the facility, the applicant agrees to comply with this policy and any additional rules or conditions provided by PowerPoint Church.
